Our Story
We were founded in 2019 as a mobile veterinary practice in response to a simple but important challenge: accessing quality veterinary care is not always easy for pets and their owners.
Travel can be stressful for animals, and many pet owners face demanding schedules, mobility challenges or other barriers that make it difficult to visit a veterinary clinic. Vetlit Mobile Veterinary Services was established to bring professional veterinary care directly to pets in the comfort of their homes.

Dr. Lutebemberwa Isa
Veterinary Surgeon
Dr Lutebemberwa Isa is a licensed veterinary surgeon registered with the Uganda Veterinary Council. He provides professional veterinary care with a special interest in soft tissue medicine and surgery.
Beyond clinical practice, Dr Isa is passionate about animal welfare and contributes to veterinary research, with several publications in peer-reviewed journals. His approach combines professional knowledge, careful diagnosis and compassionate care to provide the best possible outcomes for pets.
Committed to Better Pet Care
Dr Isa believes that good veterinary care goes beyond treating illness. His goal is to help pets live healthier, happier and more comfortable lives while giving pet owners clear guidance and confidence in their animals’ care.
He continues to strengthen his expertise through ongoing veterinary education and keeps up with developments in modern veterinary medicine. Where appropriate, he uses modern diagnostic equipment to support accurate diagnosis and guide effective treatment.
Dr Joseph Rwigyema
Veterinary Surgeon
Dr. Joseph is a licensed veterinary surgeon registered with the Uganda Veterinary Council. He is a well-rounded clinician with a special interest in veterinary internal medicine, focusing on the diagnosis, treatment and long-term management of complex and chronic conditions in companion animals.
At Vetlit Animal Clinic, Dr. Joseph manages medical conditions affecting the respiratory, digestive, endocrine, urinary and immune systems. His careful approach to diagnosis helps identify underlying health problems and guides the most appropriate treatment for each patient.
Known for his compassionate care, attention to detail and strong clinical knowledge, Dr. Joseph provides evidence-based and individualised veterinary care, ensuring every pet receives treatment suited to their specific health needs.
Shaluwa Naluwu
Administrator and Veterinary Assistant
Shaluwa Naluwu is the Administrator and Veterinary Assistant at Vetlit Animal Clinic. She holds a Diploma in Animal Husbandry and plays an important role in both the daily running of the clinic and supporting the veterinary team in patient care.
She assists during consultations, treatments and surgical procedures while also coordinating appointments, maintaining medical records and managing clinic inventory.
With strong organisational skills and a caring approach, Shaluwa helps ensure that both pets and their owners receive a smooth, professional and compassionate experience at Vetlit Animal Clinic.
